Job Title: Safety Officer

Location: Gujarat (Site-based)

About the Role

We have been entrusted with a new piping unit construction project in Gujarat and are hiring a Safety Officer to implement and monitor HSE standards at site, in line with HSE Spec 6-82-0001.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor the site HSE plan in accordance with HSE Spec 6-82-0001.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE training for all site personnel.
- Carry out routine site safety inspections and prepare NCR / observation reports.
- Investigate near-misses, incidents, and accidents, and prepare investigation reports.
- Ensure proper issuance of, and compliance with, the Permit to Work (PTW) system.
- Monitor PPE use and enforce safety rules at all times.
- Maintain gas monitoring records, emergency response plans, and first aid readiness.




- Coordinate with the client HSE representative during safety audits.

Qualifications

- Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
- NEBOSH / IOSH / Government-approved safety certificate.

Experience

- Minimum 3–5 years in site safety roles in oil & gas / EPC construction.

Required Skills

- In-depth knowledge of OISD-118, OISD-GDN-192, and Factory Act safety requirements.
- Experience handling hot work, confined space entry, and work-at-height permits.
- Familiarity with HAZOP, JSA (Job Safety Analysis), and HIRA preparation.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety, gas detection systems, and emergency response.
- Valuable communication and report writing skills.
