1. Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Tool & Die Maker for our forging plant who can manufacture, repair, maintain, and modify forging dies, tools, and fixtures to ensure smooth production, dimensional accuracy, and minimum machine downtime.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Manufacture, repair, and maintain forging dies, tools, punches, and fixtures.
- Perform die fitting, grinding, polishing, and assembly work.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and die designs.
- Operate conventional tool room machines such as lathe, milling, drilling, and grinding machines.
- Carry out die modification, rework, and preventive maintenance.
- Identify die wear, cracks, and other defects and take corrective action.
- Coordinate with the Forge Shop, Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and follow quality standards.
- Follow 5S, workplace safety, and tool room housekeeping practices.
- Maintain records of die repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities.

3. Required Skills

- Practical experience in forging die manufacturing and maintenance.
- Knowledge of tool room machines,



measuring instruments, and precision fitting.
- Ability to read technical drawings and understand tolerances.
- Knowledge of forging dies, die materials, heat treatment, and die life improvement.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Valuable coordination with production and maintenance teams.

4. Educational Qualification

- ITI: Tool & Die Making, Fitter, Machinist, or a relevant trade with suitable practical experience.
- Diploma: Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline with hands-on tool room experience.

5. Preferred Candidate Profile

- 3–8 years of relevant experience in a forging, automotive, or heavy engineering manufacturing plant.
- Hands-on experience in forging die repair, fitting, rework, and maintenance.
- Candidates with practical knowledge of hot forging dies will be preferred.

6. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Reduction in die breakdowns and production downtime.
- Timely completion of die repair and maintenance.
- Improvement in die life and dimensional accuracy.
- Reduction in die-related rejection and rework.
- Compliance with safety, 5S, and quality requirements.

Reporting To: Tool Room In-charge

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
