Job Description (JD) – Automation Engineer (Manufacturing)

Position: Automation Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to design, develop, implement, and maintain automation systems within the manufacturing environment. The candidate will be responsible for improving production efficiency, reducing downtime, optimizing processes, and supporting Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for manufacturing processes.
- Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC, HMI, SCADA, and industrial control systems.
- Support production teams in resolving automation and equipment-related issues.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for new machine installation and commissioning.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance of automation equipment.
- Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
- Develop and maintain documentation, control system drawings, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor machine performance and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety,



quality, and regulatory standards.
- Support digitalization and Industry 4.0 projects, including data collection and process optimization.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.
- 3-8 years of experience in manufacturing automation.
- Experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.).
- Knowledge of HMI, SCADA, Servo Systems, Sensors, and Industrial Networks.
- Understanding of electrical schematics and control panel design.
- Hands-on experience in machine commissioning and troubleshooting.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of robotics and machine vision systems.
- Experience with Industry 4.0, IIoT, and MES systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Positive communication and teamwork abilities.
- Project management and documentation skills.

Pay: ₹325,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
