Sundaram Cafe is an upcoming South Indian cafe opening this Diwali! We are dedicated to offering our guests authentic South Indian delicacies, fresh filter coffee, and exceptional hospitality in a warm, clean, and vibrant environment.

Position Summary

We are looking for hardworking, reliable, and attentive Housekeeping Staff to join our opening team. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across the dining area, kitchen, counter, restrooms,and customer areas to ensure a pleasant experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Dining Area & Service Support

-Keep dining tables, chairs, and service counters clean, dry, and sanitized.

-Clear dishes, trays, and used brass/stainless steel tableware promptly after guests finish.

-Mop and clean floor spills immediately to avoid slippery surfaces (especially around coffee and chutney/sambar stations).

-Maintain clean glass doors, windows, and display counters.

2. Restroom & Hygiene Maintenance:





-Clean and sanitize customer and staff restrooms regularly throughout the shift.

-Restock hand soaps, paper towels, and toilet tissue.

-Ensure handwashing and washbasin areas remain dry and spot-free.

3. Back-of-House & Waste Management

-Explicit and sanitize dishwashing areas and waste collection points.

-Empty trash bins regularly and disposal of wet and dry food waste separately in accordance with sanitation guidelines.

-Assist in sweeping, mopping, and deep cleaning kitchen floors and prep areas at opening/closing shifts.

Requirements & Qualifications

-Experience: Prior housekeeping, cleaning, or stewarding experience in a restaurant, cafe, or hotel preferred (freshers with a good work ethic are welcome to apply).

-Skills: Knowledge of hygiene practices, proper handling of cleaning chemicals, and waste disposal.

-Attributes: Punctual, energetic, detail-oriented, and polite.

-Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and festival holidays (Diwali season).

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
