We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our sheet metal manufacturing team in Sholavaram, Chennai. This role is open to motivated freshers as well as candidates with up to 2 years of hands-on experience in CNC machinery operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to perform precision sheet metal fabrication tasks (cutting, bending, and punching).
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerances, and operational sequences.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished sheet metal components using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform basic daily maintenance and cleaning of CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Safety Compliance:
Adhere strictly to shop floor safety guidelines, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering only.
- Experience: Fresher to 2 years of experience operating CNC machines (internships or hands-on shop floor training during studies will be considered).
- Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with sheet metal manufacturing processes and standard tools.
- Skills: Robust basic mathematical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn advanced manufacturing techniques.
- Location: Candidates residing in or around Chennai (specifically near Sholavaram or willing to commute) are preferred.
