Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Shift Manager with a strong coffee background to oversee daily café operations during assigned shifts. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in coffee preparation, team supervision, customer service, and managing smooth café operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day café operations during the assigned shift.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of coffee, espresso-based beverages, and other menu items.
- Supervise baristas and café team members to ensure efficient service.
- Ensure proper knowledge and handling of espresso machines, grinders, and coffee-making equipment.
- Monitor staff attendance, shift allocation, and task completion.
- Handle customer queries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
- Monitor inventory, stock availability, wastage, and replenishment.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Handle billing, POS operations, cash management, and shift-end reports.




- Ensure adherence to company SOPs and operational guidelines.
- Support the Café Manager in achieving sales targets and improving customer satisfaction.
- Ensure a smooth handover between shifts and report operational issues to management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in café operations, preferably as a Shift In-charge, Shift Supervisor, or Senior Barista.
- Mandatory: Previous experience in a coffee-focused café or coffee/QSR brand.
- Hands-on knowledge of coffee preparation, espresso-based beverages, and café equipment.
- Experience in team supervision and shift management.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Immediate joiners preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates from established coffee chains, specialty cafés, or coffee-focused QSR brands with practical barista experience and team-handling exposure will be preferred.
