Assistant Manager/Above – Quality

LOCATION - Umbergaon, Gujarat

REPORTING - Quality Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Lead QA/QC, Food Safety and Quality Systems for the manufacturing site, ensuring product quality and compliance from raw material receipt through finished-product release. The role will drive audits, CAPA, laboratory systems and team capability.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead QA/QC for manufacturing, packing and product release.

· Implement and monitor FSMS, FSSC 22000, GMP, GHP and HACCP.

· Plan internal audits, certification and regulatory audits.

· Ensure FSSAI and applicable domestic/export compliance.

· Drive quality improvement and closure of recurring non-conformities.

· Ensure quality of raw materials, packaging materials, SFG and finished goods as per specifications.

· Handle customer complaints, product failures and deviations through RCA and CAPA.

· Oversee laboratory testing, calibration, analytical equipment, methods and records.

· Use SAP / SAP-QM for relevant Quality processes, records and approvals.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

· Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience in Food / FMCG Quality.

· Strong hands-on knowledge of spice raw materials, quality parameters, testing and supplier quality.

· Experience implementing and maintaining FSSC 22000 / FSMS.

· Experience leading a QA/QC team of 30+ people.





· Working knowledge of SAP / SAP-QM and laboratory documentation.

· Spices Industry experience is prefer for the role.

· Hands-on Plant / Factory Quality experience, including processing and packing.

· Experience in NABL / ISO 17025 laboratory accreditation, systems or implementation.

· Strong knowledge of FSSAI, GMP, GHP, HACCP, RCA, CAPA and Quality Systems.

· Strong leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

EDUCATION & CANDIDATE PROFILE

EDUCATION

B.Sc./M.Sc. in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Engineering or a related discipline.

Relevant Food Safety / Quality certifications are an advantage.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

· Strong plant presence and practical problem-solving ability.

· Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with Top Management.

· Robust ownership of Food Safety, Quality Systems, audits, complaints and team development.

CTC: Best in Industry / Commensurate with experience and suitability | Location: Umbergaon, Gujarat

Pay: ₹1,800,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
