Job Purpose

The Network & IT Systems Operator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the school's technology infrastructure. Key responsibilities include overseeing campus security camera storage and access, executing server room maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of student laptops, computer labs, and classroom media systems.

Key Responsibilities1. Security & CCTV Surveillance Systems

· Manage campus-wide CCTV camera hardware, network connections, and recording storage servers.

· Monitor storage capacity, retain footage according to school policies, and perform regular backups.

· Grant, manage, and audit user access levels for administrators and staff following safety and privacy standards.

· Troubleshoot camera offline alerts, stream latency, and hardware failures promptly.

2. Server Room & Infrastructure Maintenance

· Maintain clean, organized, and secure server room environments (rack cable management, labeling, and airflow).

· Perform regular checks on physical servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS).

· Monitor environmental controls (temperature, humidity) and server hardware status alerts.

· Assist with routine data backups, system patches, and basic network configuration updates.

3. Computer Labs & Laptop Fleet Management

· Deploy, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, and tablets for staff and students.

· Manage computer lab workstations, ensuring uniform software images, updates, and secure user profiles.

· Troubleshoot hardware issues, operating system errors,



and software application glitches.

· Implement inventory tracking for hardware devices, peripherals, and checkout equipment.

4. Classroom Systems & AV Support

· Maintain classroom interactive displays, smartboards, projectors, document cameras, and audio systems.

· Ensure reliable wired and wireless (Wi-Fi) network connectivity in all learning spaces.

· Provide fast-response technical support for teachers during instructional hours.

· Conduct regular pre-term inspections of classroom media systems to prevent downtime.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Education: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Administration, or equivalent practical experience.

· Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Fundamentals.

· Experience: 2+ years of experience in network hardware support, system administration, or IT helpdesk (experience in an K-12 or academic environment is a plus).

Technical Skills:

· Solid knowledge of CCTV architecture, NVR/DVR systems, and video storage management.

· Practical understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, Wi-Fi networking, Active Directory/Google Workspace, and OS administration (Windows/macOS/ChromeOS).

· Hands-on experience with server room hardware, patch panels, UPS maintenance, and cable routing.

Soft Skills:

· Good communication skills for supporting non-technical teachers and staff.

· Strong problem-solving ability with a focus on quick resolution during class hours.

· High discretion and commitment to student privacy and security protocols.

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
