- Program microcontrollers, flash memory and other devices on assembled PCBAs using production programmers and debug tools (e.g., ST-Link, J-Link, PICkit, AVR/ESP/Nordic tools, USB-UART, ICSP/SWD/JTAG)
- Set up and maintain programming stations and fixtures; verify firmware version and checksum before each batch
- Maintain firmware version control and programming logs for traceability (board serial ↔ firmware version)
- Handle serialization, calibration values, MAC/ID loading where required
Testing & Troubleshooting
- Run functional tests (FCT) as per customer test procedures; operate test jigs and fixtures
- Diagnose failed boards down to component level using multimeter, oscilloscope, bench power supply, logic analyzer
- Identify common SMT/THT defects: shorts, opens, solder bridges, tombstoning, wrong/reversed/missing parts, BGA and fine-pitch issues
- Rework and repair boards (SMD rework station, hot air, soldering), including fine-pitch ICs
- Read and interpret schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings and Gerber/assembly files
