Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop recent vendors and suppliers for raw materials, sheet metal, machine components, and other manufacturing requirements.
- Source vendors based on quality, price, delivery timelines, and payment terms.
- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
- Maintain and update the vendor database and approved vendor list.
- Coordinate with the Purchase, Production, Quality, and Stores departments to understand material requirements.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, and timely delivery.
- Conduct vendor visits and assessments to verify manufacturing capabilities and quality standards.
- Follow up with suppliers for pending orders and ensure timely material delivery.
- Develop alternative vendors to reduce dependency on a single supplier.
- Maintain vendor-related documents, quotations,



purchase records, and evaluation reports.
- Resolve supplier-related issues concerning quality, pricing, and delivery delays.

Required Qualifications

- Education: Graduate in any stream; a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
- Experience: 2–5 years in vendor development, procurement, or purchase, preferably in a manufacturing company.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of vendor sourcing, quotation comparison, negotiation, and MS Excel.
- Preferred Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing materials, sheet metal components, machining, and industrial suppliers.
