Key Responsibilities

- Review and edit structural steel shop drawings, erection drawings, and fabrication drawings.
- Check drawings for accuracy, completeness, dimensions, and consistency with design and project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, including AISC, AWS, OSHA requirements where applicable, and relevant project specifications.
- Identify and correct drafting errors, detailing discrepancies, and coordination issues.
- Review connections, sections, elevations, and material specifications as per project requirements.
- Coordinate with checkers, modelers, team leaders, and project managers to resolve technical queries.
- Ensure drawings are revised accurately based on comments received from clients, engineers, and internal checking teams.
- Maintain drawing quality, revision control, and project documentation.
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining the required quality standards.
- Support junior editors and team members in resolving technical issues and improving drawing quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications





- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural steel detailing, editing, or drawing review.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection drawings.
- Valuable understanding of AISC standards, AWS welding requirements, and relevant project specifications.
- Proficiency in Tekla Structures and familiarity with structural steel detailing workflows.
- Ability to identify detailing errors and resolve drawing discrepancies.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple project priorities.
