Lead Media Strategist (Telangana)

Your network. Your instincts. A state's conversation.

Inclusive Minds · Full time · On-site

Most media jobs are about reporting the story. This one is about understanding it before everyone else does.

We're Inclusive Minds — India's only full-service political consultancy with a national footprint, working alongside the Indian National Congress. We build campaigns, shape narratives, and help leaders connect with millions of people. Elections aren't won by advertisements alone; they're won by understanding the political pulse, anticipating developments, and ensuring the right message reaches the right audience at the right time.

That's where you come in.

You'll be at the centre of Telangana's political and media ecosystem — tracking developments, building relationships, gathering intelligence, and helping shape the narratives that drive campaigns.

What you'll actually be doing:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, media houses, and key influencers across Telangana
- Track political developments, governance issues, and emerging narratives before they become tomorrow's headlines
- Gather actionable intelligence through media networks and other primary sources across the state
- Help craft and execute media strategies for political campaigns, government initiatives, and public outreach programs
- Secure impactful media coverage and ensure campaign messaging reaches the right audiences
- Monitor print, television, digital, and social media conversations and identify opportunities and risks
- Work closely with campaign leadership to provide insights, recommendations, and strategic inputs
- Lead media coordination during elections and high-intensity campaign periods

You won't just be reacting to the news cycle. You'll be helping shape it.

What we need from you:

- 8–12 years of experience in journalism, political consulting, public affairs, or strategic communications
- A strong network of journalists and media professionals across Hyderabad and Telangana
- Deep understanding of Telangana politics, governance, demographics, and electoral dynamics
- Strong command of Telugu and the ability to navigate the state's media ecosystem with ease
- Excellent intelligence-gathering, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills
- Strong understanding of how print, television, and digital media actually work
- Ability to operate independently, make quick judgments, and thrive in fast-moving environments

Bonus points if you:

- Have worked on election campaigns before
- Have managed media teams during high-pressure political campaigns
- Can connect dots faster than most people in the room
- Know which story matters today and which story will matter next week

Why this is different:

Your work won't sit in a presentation deck.

The intelligence you gather, the relationships you build, and the narratives you help shape will influence campaigns seen by lakhs and crores of people. You'll have a front-row seat to politics, governance, and elections in one of India's most politically dynamic states.

Don't apply if:

- You prefer predictable routines and clearly defined playbooks
- Networking feels like work rather than second nature
- You wait for instructions instead of identifying opportunities

Apply if:

- Politics is more than a profession for you
- You thrive on being the person who knows what's happening before everyone else
- You want to play a key role in shaping political communication at scale

Send us your profile and tell us why you're the person we should call when we need to know what's really happening in Telangana.
