About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Design Engineer I – Automotive Plastics with strong

hands-on experience in Siemens NX for automotive product design and development.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and detailing automotive plastic components,

supporting design modifications, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver

production-ready designs meeting customer and engineering requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop 3D models and 2D drawings of automotive plastic components using Siemens NX.
- Design and modify automotive interior/exterior plastic components based on customer

requirements and engineering specifications.

- Understand and apply automotive plastic part design principles, including:

o Draft analysis

o Wall thickness

o Ribs and bosses

o Fillets and radii

o Snap fits and mounting features

o Parting line considerations

o Tooling and mould feasibility

- Perform design modifications based on engineering changes, customer feedback and

manufacturing requirements.

- Prepare and maintain 2D manufacturing drawings, including GD&T;, dimensions and

engineering specifications.

- Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback from cross-functional teams.
- Work with Tooling, Manufacturing, CAE, Quality and other engineering teams to ensure

design feasibility.





- Support DFM/DFA activities and resolve manufacturing-related design issues.
- Understand and apply GD&T; and automotive drawing standards.
- Support design validation, prototype development and engineering change activities.
- Maintain design data, models, drawings and documentation as per project requirements.
- Participate in technical discussions with customers and internal stakeholders when required.
- Ensure designs meet project timelines, quality requirements and customer specifications.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in Siemens NX – 3D Modeling and Drafting.
- Positive experience in automotive plastic component design.
- Knowledge of plastic part design and manufacturing processes such as:

o Injection moulding

o Blow moulding, where applicable

o Thermoforming, where applicable

- Good understanding of DFM/DFA.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T; and engineering drawing standards.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and engineering requirements.
- Knowledge of automotive product development processes.
- Experience with engineering change management and design release processes.

Preferred Experience

Experience in designing one or more of the following automotive plastic components:

- Instrument Panel / IP Components
- Door Trims / Door Panels
- Pillar Trims
- Console Components
- Garnishes
- Bumpers and Exterior Trims
- HVAC Components
- Glove Box
- Cockpit Components
- Centre Console
- Plastic Brackets and Mounting Components
- Other automotive interior/exterior plastic parts

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per month
