Job Description – PFT Technician

Department: Pulmonology / Respiratory Medicine
Experience: Minimum 1 year
Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a relevant allied health field

Key Responsibilities

- Perform pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and pre- and post-bronchodilator testing.
- Prepare patients for testing and explain procedures to ensure proper understanding and cooperation.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain pulmonary function testing equipment.
- Ensure accurate test performance and follow established quality control procedures.
- Assess test quality and repeat procedures when necessary, according to clinical protocols.
- Monitor patients during testing and report any adverse symptoms to the supervising clinician.
- Maintain accurate patient records, test reports, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Follow infection control,



equipment disinfection, and patient safety protocols.
- Coordinate with pulmonologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure productive patient care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, departmental protocols, and confidentiality requirements.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of pulmonary function testing procedures and respiratory physiology.
- Good patient-handling and communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot PFT equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
