Service Engineer – Customer Support

Location: Chennai
Experience: Minimum 1 Years(Fresher)
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹35,000 per month + Travelling Allowances
Qualification: BE/ Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Key Responsibilities

● Visit customer sites to install, commission, calibrate, inspect and service gauges and

measuring instruments.

● Attend breakdown, warranty and preventive maintenance calls at customer locations

within agreed timelines.

● Diagnose faults on-site, carry out repairs, and replace parts as required.

● Demonstrate correct use and basic maintenance of instruments to customer staff.

● Perform workshop calibration, testing and repair of instruments received from

customers.

● Prepare and submit service reports, job cards and calibration records, with customer

sign-off after every visit.

● Coordinate with the customer support, sales, stores and dispatch teams for service

requests, spares and returns.

● Maintain tools, test equipment and spare parts used for field service.

● Plan daily visit schedules and keep customers informed of arrival times and job status.

● Record customer feedback,



report recurring faults to the technical team, and escalate

complex issues to the supervisor.

● Follow site safety rules and company procedures at all customer locations.

Eligibility Criteria

● Education: Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical or

Mechanical Engineering (ITI with relevant experience may also be considered).

● Experience: 1 to 3 years in service, calibration or maintenance of instruments or

industrial equipment. Freshers with solid technical fundamentals may also apply.

● Basic knowledge of pressure, temperature, flow or other measuring instruments and

calibration procedures.

● Ability to use hand tools, multimeters and calibration equipment.

● Good communication skills in Tamil and English (Hindi is an added advantage).

● Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office and Excel, for service reports.

● Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and time management skills.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
