Dr. Aravind’s IVF Fertility and Pregnancy Centre is looking for an experienced Head OT Technician to coordinate day-to-day Operation Theatre activities and support safe, organized clinical procedures at our Tambaram location.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Supervise daily OT activities and coordinate the OT team.
- Ensure the Operation Theatre is prepared and ready for scheduled procedures.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, anaesthesia team and other clinical staff.
- Check the availability and readiness of instruments, equipment and required OT supplies.
- Support doctors and the clinical team during procedures as required.
- Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization and handling of OT instruments according to hospital protocols.
- Monitor infection-control and safety practices within the OT.
- Maintain OT registers, procedure records, equipment records and other required documentation.
- Monitor availability of consumables and communicate replenishment requirements.
- Coordinate OT schedules and readiness for planned procedures.




- Check equipment condition and report maintenance requirements to the concerned team.
- Guide and support OT technicians and other assigned staff in their daily activities.
- Assist with patient preparation and secure transfer as per clinical instructions.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of instruments and equipment.
- Support compliance with hospital procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Operation Theatre services.
- Hospital experience required.
- Diploma/B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Practical knowledge of OT preparation, instruments, sterilization and infection-control procedures.
- Ability to coordinate OT staff and daily activities.
- Good communication and team-coordination skills.
- Responsible approach to documentation and equipment handling.
- Immediate joiners required.
