Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician with 1–3 years of experience in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory. The candidate will be responsible for collecting and processing samples, performing laboratory tests, maintaining accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect, label, receive, and process blood, urine, and other clinical samples.
- Perform routine laboratory investigations, including hematology, biochemistry, clinical pathology, and other tests as per qualifications and departmental requirements.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Ensure accurate testing, timely reporting, and proper documentation of results.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality control protocols, and laboratory safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control practices in the laboratory.
- Handle, store, and dispose of biological samples and biomedical waste according to hospital protocols.
- Monitor laboratory reagents, consumables, and inventory; report shortages when required.




- Identify abnormal or critical test results and promptly inform the concerned medical personnel according to hospital protocols.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient laboratory services.

Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT) or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in a hospital, pathology laboratory, or diagnostic centre.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures, sample handling, quality control, and biosafety practices.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and basic computer operations.
- Registration or licensing, where applicable, as per relevant regulations.
