OB DESCRIPTION – CNC TURNING & VMC OPERATOR

1. Position: CNC Turning Operator

Job Responsibilities:

- Operate CNC Turning machines as per production requirements.
- Set up tools, workpieces, and machine parameters.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances.
- Perform tool setting, offset adjustment, and basic program corrections.
- Inspect machined components using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance.
- Follow production targets, safety standards, and quality procedures.

Required Skills:

- Experience in CNC Turning operations.
- Knowledge of CNC machine controls and tooling.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and machining tolerances.
- Experience in CNC setup and troubleshooting is preferred.

2. Position: VMC Operator

Job Responsibilities:

- Operate Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines for precision machining.
- Perform tool setting, workpiece clamping, and job setup.
- Understand engineering drawings and machining specifications.




- Handle tool offsets, work offsets, and basic program corrections.
- Inspect finished components and maintain dimensional accuracy.
- Monitor machining operations and achieve production targets.
- Identify machining defects and report machine or tooling issues.
- Maintain housekeeping and follow safety procedures.

Required Skills:

- Experience in VMC machine operation.
- Knowledge of CNC controls, preferably FANUC.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tool offsets, and work offsets.
- Ability to use Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, and other measuring instruments.
- CNC programming and setup knowledge will be an added advantage.

General Requirements

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
- Practical experience in CNC Turning or VMC operations.
- Responsible, disciplined, and quality-conscious.
- Willingness to work in shifts if required.

Salary: Negotiable, based on experience and technical skills.
