Job Overview

LPO Holidays is hiring two Full Stack Developer Interns to work on our product across the frontend and the backend. You will build React interfaces, develop REST APIs in Node.js and Express, and work with PostgreSQL through Sequelize. You will work alongside our developers on production features, take part in code reviews, and learn how a live application is built, deployed and maintained.

What You Will Do

- Build responsive, reusable UI components in React and connect them to backend APIs
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js
- Design tables, write queries and create migrations in PostgreSQL using Sequelize
- Implement authentication and role-based access control on both the client and the server
- Debug issues across the stack using browser DevTools, the Node.js debugger and logs
- Write API documentation and keep code clean, modular and reviewed through pull requests

Required SkillsJavaScript and Web Fundamentals

- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+): arrow functions, destructuring, spread/rest operators, promises, async/await
- Good understanding of asynchronous JavaScript and error handling patterns
- HTML5 semantic markup and accessibility basics
- CSS3: Flexbox, Grid, media queries, responsive and mobile-first design
- Basic understanding of cross-browser compatibility and debugging

Frontend (React)

- React fundamentals: functional components, component composition, props and lifecycle
- Hooks: useState, useEffect, useContext, useReducer, useMemo, useCallback, and writing custom hooks




- Client-side routing with React Router DOM (v6)
- State management with Redux Toolkit / React Redux: actions, reducers, store, middleware
- Integrating REST APIs using Axios or the Fetch API, including loading and error states
- Form handling and validation (Formik, React Hook Form or custom solutions)
- Styling with Bootstrap / React Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS; basic SCSS / Sass

Backend (Node.js and Express)

- Building RESTful APIs with Node.js and Express.js
- Familiarity with Node.js runtime concepts (event loop, modules, streams)
- JWT-based authentication and role/permission-based access control
- File handling and uploads using Multer; media processing with Sharp
- Understanding of background jobs and schedulers
- Knowledge of email services
- Familiarity with API documentation using Swagger (swagger-jsdoc, swagger-ui-express)
- Basic understanding of memory management and avoiding memory leaks in JavaScript

Database

- PostgreSQL: joins, subqueries, indexing and basic query optimization
- Sequelize ORM: models, migrations, associations, seeders, transactions
- Exposure to Redis for caching, sessions or background processing

Tools and Practices

- Git with GitHub or GitLab: feature branches, pull/merge requests, code reviews
- npm / yarn package management
- Postman or a similar API testing tool
- ESLint and Prettier
- Clean, readable, modular code with sensible naming and reusable components





Valuable to Have

- TypeScript in React or Node.js projects
- WebSockets / Socket.io for real-time features
- Redis advanced use cases: queues, pub/sub, rate limiting
- Basic understanding of Docker and containerized applications
- Exposure to a cloud platform (AWS / GCP / Azure)
- Logging and monitoring with Winston and Morgan
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment
- Unit testing with Jest / React Testing Library
- Performance techniques such as lazy loading and code splitting
- Charts and data visualization (Recharts, Chart.js) and PDF / Excel export (jsPDF, ExcelJS)
- Next.js or Vite / Webpack configuration
- Experience with Figma and Jira

Soft Skills

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and take feedback from code reviews
- Clear communication and the ability to work in a team
- Time management and the ability to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with Agile / Scrum ways of working

Portfolio Requirements

- An active GitHub profile with your own code
- At least one full stack project with a React frontend and a Node.js + PostgreSQL backend, preferably deployed live
- README documentation explaining the setup, features and design decisions of each project

Education

B.Tech / BCA / MCA / B.Sc (CS/IT) or equivalent (2023–2025 batch preferred).

Note

Candidates with strong full stack GitHub repositories, React + Node.js + PostgreSQL projects, or prior internships involving API development, authentication and database design will be given preference. Please include links to your GitHub profile and any live projects in your application.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
