Job Description – Electrical Design Engineer (Solar Projects)

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our Engineering & Projects team. The candidate will assist in preparing electrical designs, drawings, calculations, and technical documentation for solar power projects.

Freshers with a solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and an interest in the solar energy sector are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare electrical drawings and layouts for rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV projects.
- Assist in preparing Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), cable routing layouts, earthing layouts, and lightning protection system drawings.
- Perform basic AC/DC cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, and electrical load calculations.
- Assist in the selection of solar inverters, transformers, LT/HT panels, ACDBs, DCDBs, and protection equipment.
- Prepare BOQs, BOMs, technical specifications, and equipment datasheets.
- Use AutoCAD to prepare and modify electrical drawings.
- Support the engineering team in preparing technical documents for project execution and approvals.




- Coordinate with project and site teams to resolve design-related queries.
- Ensure drawings and calculations comply with applicable electrical standards and project requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Fresher to 2 years in electrical design; solar industry experience is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, circuit protection, cable sizing, earthing, and transformers.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and electrical drawings.
- Knowledge of solar PV systems and PVsyst will be an added advantage.
- Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and work with the engineering and project execution teams.

Preferred Candidates

- Fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge and an interest in solar energy.
- Candidates with internship or project experience in electrical design or solar PV systems.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
