Jupiter Power Transmissions Private Limited (PUMPWALA) has been engineering flow in Mumbai since 1986. At our workshop in Andheri East we manufacture, assemble, test and overhaul centrifugal pumps for high-rise water supply, fire-fighting, HVAC and industrial applications, and machine their components on our own Kirloskar, HMT and Vikram conventional lathes. We are an Authorised Wilo Dealer for General Industry and Building Services Commercial, representing Wilo Mather and Platt Pumps Pvt. Ltd. (Wilo Group, Germany).

We are hiring one Lathe Turner for pump-component machining.

Responsibilities

- Operate conventional lathes (Kirloskar, HMT, Vikram) for turning, facing, boring, threading — metric and BSP / NPT pipe threads, internal and external — taper turning, grooving and parting.
- Machine pump components to drawing: shafts, shaft sleeves, impeller hub and bore finishing, wear rings, bushes, couplings, glands and flanges.
- Carry out drilling, tapping, slotting, milling and keyway cutting on shafts and mechanical components.
- Read engineering drawings; set up the job, select speeds, feeds and tooling; work to tolerance using vernier calliper, micrometer, bore gauge and thread gauges.
- Check and record dimensions on finished parts; maintain accuracy and surface finish; report deviations.
- Assist in pump and motor assembly and fitting work when required.
- Follow workshop safety procedures; keep the machine, tooling and work area clean and maintained.





Requirements — essential

- 3+ years on conventional lathes; able to hold tolerances on shafts, bores and threads.
- Threading: metric and BSP / NPT pipe threads, internal and external.
- Reads engineering drawings; uses vernier, micrometer, bore gauge and thread gauges.
- Drilling, tapping and keyway cutting.
- Hindi or Marathi; basic English helpful. Able to commute to Andheri East daily.

Requirements — preferred

- ITI Turner (or Machinist).
- Pump or rotating-equipment component work at a pump manufacturer, motor rewinder or engineering workshop.
- Slotting and milling experience.
