Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QMS Engineer to manage and maintain the Quality Management System and ensure effective implementation of quality processes in accordance with IATF 16949:2016, customer-specific requirements, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and effectively implement the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949:2016 requirements and internal quality procedures.
- Prepare, review, update, and control QMS documents, procedures, work instructions, formats, and records.
- Plan and conduct internal audits, process audits, and system audits.
- Coordinate and support customer audits, certification audits, and surveillance audits.
- Track audit findings and ensure timely closure of NCs, observations, and corrective actions.
- Prepare and monitor Corrective Action / Preventive Action (CAPA) activities.
- Monitor quality objectives and QMS performance indicators.
- Maintain document control and record control as per QMS requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, HR, and other departments for QMS implementation.
- Ensure effective implementation of risk-based thinking, process approach, and continual improvement.
- Support preparation and review of Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, Work Instructions, and related quality documents.
- Monitor customer complaints and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure effective implementation of 5S, Kaizen, problem-solving, and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain audit schedules, action trackers, and management review inputs.
- Support Management Review Meetings and prepare required QMS reports and presentations.




- Ensure awareness and compliance with applicable customer-specific requirements (CSR).
- Assist in maintaining quality records, calibration records, training records, and other QMS documentation.
- Promote quality awareness and provide QMS-related training to employees.

Qualification

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- Additional qualification in Quality Management / QMS will be an advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in QMS / Quality Assurance.
- Experience in an automotive components manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience with IATF 16949:2016 is essential.

Preferred Knowledge & Certifications

- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949:2016.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
- Knowledge of Core Tools – APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC.
- Knowledge of Internal Audit / Process Audit.
- Knowledge of 8D, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, and CAPA.
- Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements (CSR).
- Internal Auditor certification/training will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of VDA 6.3 will be an added advantage.
