This role is with a well-established MEP/EPC contracting organisation headquartered in Gurgaon, delivering mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire-protection and building-automation systems across commercial, industrial, healthcare, data-centre and infrastructure projects. The search is being managed by Cusec Consulting, a management and talent-advisory firm partnering with leading real-estate, infrastructure and MEP/EPC organisations.

We are seeking an MEP Coordinator for the Mumbai project to coordinate all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV and IBMS activities across design, construction, testing, commissioning and handover. Candidates with strong BIM-coordination experience (Revit / Navisworks) are equally welcome, provided they bring solid MEP coordination exposure.

Role overview

Reporting to the Project Manager / Projects Head, the MEP Coordinator ensures smooth interdisciplinary coordination of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing (PHE), Fire Fighting, ELV and IBMS works at the Mumbai site. The role reviews and coordinates MEP shop drawings, BIM models and IFC drawings, resolves design and site coordination issues, tracks engineering deliverables and shop-drawing approvals, monitors installation against approved drawings and schedules, and coordinates material approvals and procurement — supporting Planning Engineers in identifying and mitigating delays. The organisation is open to candidates whose strength is BIM coordination, provided they can take on the broader MEP coordination remit.

Key responsibilities

1. Project coordination. Coordinate HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing (PHE), Fire Fighting, ELV and IBMS activities; conduct interdisciplinary coordination meetings and resolve design/site coordination issues.

2. Drawings & models. Review and coordinate MEP shop drawings, BIM models and IFC drawings; run or support clash detection; ensure installations comply with approved drawings and specifications.

3. Engineering & planning. Review construction drawings and specifications,



coordinate material approvals and procurement schedules, and track engineering deliverables and shop-drawing approvals.

4. Progress & delays. Monitor project progress against approved schedules and assist Planning Engineers in identifying delays and mitigation measures.

5. Site execution. Monitor installation activities for all MEP disciplines and ensure work is executed per approved method statements and quality/safety requirements.

6. Stakeholder coordination. Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, structural and civil teams, subcontractors and vendors through to testing, commissioning and handover.

Required qualifications and skills

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 5–10 years’ experience in MEP coordination on building-services / infrastructure projects.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing (PHE), ELV and IBMS systems.
- Review and coordination of MEP shop drawings, BIM models and IFC drawings.
- Interdisciplinary coordination, clash resolution and site-execution monitoring.
- Strong communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors and vendors.

Preferred (good to have)

- Candidates with strong BIM-coordination experience (Revit / Navisworks, clash detection, common data environment) are equally encouraged to apply.
- Experience across commercial, healthcare, data-centre, semiconductor or airport projects.
- Experience through testing, commissioning and handover.
