Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Site Engineer to supervise and execute LMC (Laying, Making and Commissioning, as applicable to the project scope) and MDPE gas pipeline connection works under City Gas Distribution (CGD) projects. The candidate will be responsible for site execution, manpower management, work planning, contractor coordination, quality and safety compliance, progress monitoring, billing verification, and project documentation to ensure timely and effective completion of site activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily LMC and MDPE gas pipeline installation and connection activities as per approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare daily work plans, allocate manpower, and monitor site progress against project targets.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, technicians, fitters, plumbers, and field teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Monitor MDPE pipeline laying, service connections, jointing, testing, and commissioning activities as applicable to the project scope.
- Ensure compliance with approved procedures, quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable CGD regulations.
- Coordinate with clients, project managers, contractors, and local authorities regarding site execution and work permits.
- Verify measurements, work completion records, subcontractor bills, and supporting documents before submission for approval.
- Monitor material consumption, equipment availability,



and site requirements to avoid delays.
- Maintain daily progress reports, manpower records, measurement books, inspection records, and other project documentation.
- Identify site issues, resolve execution challenges, and report delays or technical concerns to the Project Manager.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment while maintaining productivity and work quality.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Civil, or a related engineering discipline.

Experience

- Experience in LMC, MDPE pipeline installation, domestic or commercial gas connections, or City Gas Distribution (CGD) projects is preferred.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in pipeline site execution and subcontractor management will be given preference.

Required Skills

- Strong site supervision and project execution skills.
- Knowledge of MDPE pipeline installation, jointing, testing, and gas connection procedures.
- Ability to manage manpower, subcontractors, and daily work targets.
- Understanding of site safety, quality control, and project documentation.
- Experience in measurement verification, billing coordination, and progress reporting.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic project reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel to project locations as required.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with practical experience in CGD projects, particularly LMC/MDPE gas pipeline connections, who can independently manage site activities, coordinate field teams, monitor project progress, and ensure timely completion of assigned targets.
