Their core responsibilities include interpreting schematics and blueprints, assembling and calibrating circuitry, and using diagnostic tools like oscilloscopes and multimeters to identify and fix malfunctions.

Key duties involve conducting routine preventive maintenance to prevent downtime, documenting repair activities and test results, and collaborating with engineers to develop prototypes or upgrade existing systems. Technicians must also ensure compliance with safety standards, source or fabricate replacement parts,



and sometimes provide technical training to users or junior staff.

Qualifications typically require an associate’s degree or certification in electronics technology, along with robust analytical and problem-solving skills, physical dexterity, and proficiency in reading technical manuals and wiring diagrams. Employers often seek candidates with hands-on experience using various hand and power tools, as well as knowledge of analog and digital circuitry.
