Soulfree is a public charitable trust working to improve the quality of life of persons living with permanent paralysis following spinal cord injury (SCI).

Job Description

The Outreach Program Head will identify and assess eligible beneficiaries for Soulfree’s spinal cord injury rehabilitation services through field visits and community partnerships. The role includes socio-economic assessment, BPL beneficiary verification, wheelchair and assistive device procurement, vendor management, referral network development, beneficiary database maintenance and outreach reporting.

Educational Qualification

- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Rural Development, Public Health, Development Studies, Sociology or a related discipline.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline may be considered for candidates with substantial relevant experience.

Experience

- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in community outreach, beneficiary identification, social welfare programmes or NGO programme management.
- Socio-economic assessments, BPL or low-income household identification, field verification and beneficiary eligibility assessment.




- Experience in wheelchair or assistive device procurement, vendor coordination, quotation comparison and purchase documentation.
- Coordinating with government departments, hospitals, NGOs, community organisations and welfare schemes.
- Maintaining beneficiary records, preparing MIS reports and monitoring programme outcomes.

Key Skills

- Strong field assessment, beneficiary screening and verification skills.
- Vendor management, procurement coordination and negotiation.
- Knowledge of socio-economic indicators, BPL documentation and government welfare schemes.
- Solid communication, networking and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and digital database management.
- Fluency in Tamil and working knowledge of English.
- Willingness to travel extensively for field visits and beneficiary assessments.
- Compassion, integrity, accountability and commitment to supporting persons with spinal cord injuries.

Salary will be offered based on qualifications, experience, skills, and value addition to the institution.
