Job Discription

The PCB Plating Line Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining wet chemical processing and plating equipment used in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing. This role ensures high-reliability copper, nickel or tin plating on rigid and flexible PCBs through direct micro-section compliance, chemical tank maintenance, and process quality monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

- Equipment Operation & Setup:
- Prepare, load, and run manual or automated wet chemical plating lines (Electroless Copper, Direct Metallization,
- Load and unload flight bars, racks, and PCB panels onto conveyorized or hoist-operated processing lines.
- Adjust and set line parameters including amp-hours, rectifier currents, bath temperatures, conveyor speeds, and agitation controls based on job panel specifications.
- Process Control & Bath Maintenance:
- Perform routine chemical bath maintenance, including titrations, additions, pump/filter checks, filter bag changes, and anode hook maintenance
- Monitor hull cell tests, surface tension, chemical concentrations, and bath temperatures.
- Conduct daily bath startup/shutdown procedures and record process control log parameters.
- Quality Assurance & Verification:
- Inspect plated panels for defects such as nodulation, pits, voids, step-plating,



blistering, or thickness variations.
- Maintain strict compliance with ISO, IPC-A-600, and IPC-6012 manufacturing quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or vocational certification in Chemical Technology, Manufacturing, or Mechanics preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-600 / IPC-6012).
- Familiarity with XRF thickness measurement tools and basic laboratory test equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot pumps, rectifiers, filtration units, and heater elements.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, and move for full 8–10 hour operational shifts.
- Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) continuously, including full respirators, face shields, rubber aprons, and chemical-resistant gloves

Key Competencies

- Robust attention to detail and process repeatability.
- Basic arithmetic skills for chemical ratio calculations and plating area/current densities ($A/ft^2$ or $A/dm^2$).

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
