Job Overview

We are looking for customer-focused professionals to manage key accounts and coordinate ocean export shipments. The role involves ensuring seamless shipment execution, maintaining strong customer relationships, resolving service issues, and supporting revenue growth and customer retention.

The designation and responsibilities will depend on the candidate's experience and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day requirements of assigned key accounts and build long-term customer relationships.
- Coordinate ocean export bookings, documentation, cargo movement, and shipment execution.
- Liaise with shipping lines, overseas agents, CHAs, transporters, customers, and internal teams.
- Provide timely shipment updates and resolve customer queries, delays, rollovers, and operational issues.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Pricing,



and Finance teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, customer retention, and account growth.
- Monitor account performance, shipment volumes, revenue, and gross profit (GP).
- Maintain accurate customer records, shipment trackers, and account performance reports.
- Support revenue and GP targets in line with the assigned role.
- At the Assistant Manager level, handle critical customer escalations, drive account profitability, and guide team members where required.

Qualifications and Experience

- Graduate in any discipline; a qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
- Relevant experience in key account management, customer service, or operations within the logistics and freight forwarding industry.
- Working knowledge of ocean freight exports, shipping documentation, and shipment coordination.
- Strong communication, customer relationship management, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Commercial awareness and experience in account growth are preferred.
- Team handling and escalation management experience will be an advantage for senior-level candidates.
