Job Description:
The Senior Billing skilled at Manipal Hospitals will be responsible for overseeing the billing processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and managing accounts receivable. This role includes coordinating with various departments to ensure compliance with insurance policies and governmental regulations. The Senior Billing professional will work closely with billing staff to provide training, support, and performance evaluations while also identifying areas for process improvement. Other key responsibilities include analyzing billing data, resolving discrepancies and patient inquiries, preparing financial reports, and ensuring proper billing procedures are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and manage the daily operations of the billing department.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in billing practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with the insurance and finance teams to streamline processes.
- Handle escalated billing inquiries and disputes from patients and insurance companies.
- Analyze and interpret billing data for financial reporting and improvement.




- Train and mentor junior billing staff to enhance their skills and efficiency.
- Implement best practices and new technologies to optimize billing operations.
- Prepare and present regular reports on billing activities and performance metrics.

Skills and Tools Required:

- Strong knowledge of medical billing processes, healthcare regulations, and insurance claims.
- Proficient in billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
