Job Responsibilities

- Conduct mechanical, physical and chemical testing of plastics, rubber, polymers, composites, coatings and related materials according to ASTM, ISO and IS standards.
- Operate laboratory equipment including UTM, Impact Tester, Hardness Tester, MFI, HDT/Vicat, Abrasion Tester, FTIR, DSC and TGA based on technical competency and training.
- Prepare test specimens, configure testing parameters, perform tests and accurately record observations and results.
- Perform material characterization, quality-control testing and product performance evaluations.
- Analyze test results and prepare accurate technical reports, test certificates and supporting documentation.
- Maintain equipment calibration records, maintenance logs, test registers and laboratory documentation.
- Follow laboratory SOPs, safety procedures and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements.
- Participate in NABL audits, proficiency testing (PT), inter-laboratory comparisons (ILC) and laboratory quality activities.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams regarding sample requirements, testing procedures and report delivery.




- Support chemical and microbiological testing activities where applicable, based on qualifications, training and laboratory facilities.

Educational Qualifications

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
- B.E. / B.Tech – Chemical Engineering
- B.E. / B.Tech – Polymer / Plastics Engineering
- B.E. / B.Tech – Materials Science / Engineering
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. – Microbiology
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. – Chemistry
- Other relevant science or engineering qualifications

Required Skills

- Minimum 2 years of relevant laboratory testing or quality-control experience.
- Knowledge of ASTM, ISO and IS testing standards.
- Experience operating laboratory testing instruments.
- Understanding of test procedures, calculations and technical reporting.
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and NABL documentation.
- Valuable communication, problem-solving and MS Office skills.
