GMCH BSc Nursing 2027 is the admission route for students who want to study nursing at Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh. This guide separates the previous admission cycle from information that still needs confirmation for 2027.
Official sources checked: 16 October 2026. GMCH currently publishes GCET-2026 material for the 2026–27 session. We have not verified a separate GCET-2027 prospectus. Therefore, application dates, fees, eligibility amendments and the new seat matrix remain subject to the next official notice.
Check the admission year carefully: the 2026–27 prospectus is a previous-cycle reference.
In this guide: Dates · Eligibility · Pattern · Application · FAQs
GMCH BSc Nursing 2027 notification and dates
Follow the official GMCH admissions section for new notices. The 2026 admission notice board remains useful for understanding the previous process. However, a previous-cycle deadline is not a 2027 deadline.

GMCH BSc Nursing 2027 eligibility and seats
For historical context, the 2026–27 prospectus required individual passes in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English at 10+2 level. It specified 50% aggregate for General/General PwD/OBC-NCL/OBC-NCL PwD and 45% for SC/SC PwD, plus a minimum age of 17 by 31 December 2026.
That prospectus listed 60 regular seats: 51 in the UT Chandigarh Pool and nine in the General Pool. It also described eight separate supernumerary Jammu and Kashmir seats. These figures and conditions are previous-cycle information, not a confirmed 2027 entitlement.
Before applying, compare your school records with the new eligibility section. In addition, check the pool rules, category certificates and any requirements for your qualification. Ask GMCH for clarification if your circumstances do not fit the published categories.
GCET exam pattern and preparation
The 2026 pattern used 100 one-mark MCQs in English over two hours, without negative marking. Physics, Chemistry, Biology,
English and patient-care/nursing aptitude each contributed 20 questions. Confirm the complete 2027 syllabus and marking rules before using this as your test format.
Meanwhile, build a weekly plan that balances science revision with question practice. First, identify two topics where you lose marks. Next, revise the concepts and solve a short set without notes. Afterwards, review the explanation for every incorrect answer.
For example, keep a separate page for calculation errors, misunderstood terms and facts you forgot. Revisit those notes each weekend. This gives you a useful measure of progress alongside your mock-test score.
Once the final pattern is available, practise with the official time limit. Also, check which subjects need more attention instead of spending every session on your strongest area. Recruitment papers can provide extra practice, but they do not replace the GCET entrance syllabus.
Application form and counselling checklist
The previous process separated the entrance application from a later counselling stage. For GMCH BSc Nursing 2027, read the new instructions carefully and complete every required stage. However, an entrance application alone may not complete your admission process.
- Use your own working email address and mobile number.
- Check your name, subjects, marks and date of birth against your certificates.
- Prepare the required photograph, signature and identity documents.
- Check applicable pool and category certificates before the deadline.
- Save the submitted form, acknowledgement and payment receipt.
After the examination, follow the result, document-verification and counselling notices. Finally, check the reporting requirements for any allotted seat. Do not assume that a qualifying score alone guarantees admission.
GMCH BSc Nursing 2027: frequently asked questions
When will GMCH BSc Nursing 2027 applications open?
We have not verified an official opening date at this check. Use the GMCH admissions section for the next prospectus and application schedule.
Is the 2026–27 prospectus the 2027 entrance notification?
No. It describes the admission cycle beginning in 2026. Check the examination year and session on each document before using its dates or rules.
Will the previous exam pattern stay the same?
It may change. The previous-cycle pattern above can help with early preparation, but the recent prospectus must confirm the final syllabus and marking scheme.
Where can I confirm eligibility or a certificate requirement?
Read the applicable prospectus and corrigenda,
then contact GMCH through its official website if you still need clarification. Therefore, an independent coaching guide cannot decide admission eligibility.
