About the Role

FS University is looking for a motivated Assistant Professor to join our School of Law. You will teach, mentor students, carry out research, and help build the department’s academic reputation.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching

- Teach undergraduate (BA LLB / BBA LLB / LLB) and, where applicable, postgraduate law courses
- Prepare lesson plans, course material, assignments, and exams
- Use interactive methods such as case studies, moot courts, and seminars
- Evaluate students fairly and give regular feedback

Research and Publications

- Carry out original research and publish in reputed, peer-reviewed or UGC-CARE listed journals
- Present papers at conferences, seminars, and workshops
- Take part in funded research projects and guide student research

Student Mentoring

- Mentor and guide students in academics and career planning
- Supervise moot court, debating, legal aid clinic, and internship activities

Institution Building





- Help with curriculum design and syllabus updates
- Support accreditation and ranking work (NAAC, NIRF, BCI inspections)
- Take part in admissions, orientation, exam duties, and committees
- Organize seminars, guest lectures, and legal awareness programmes
- Contribute to the university’s outreach and community work

Qualifications

Required

- LLB from a recognized university
- Strong knowledge of one or more law subjects (Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Corporate Law, Contract Law, etc.)
- Positive communication and presentation skills

Preferred

- LLM (a big plus)
- UGC-NET / SET / PhD
- Prior teaching, research, or legal practice experience
- Published research papers
- Comfort with digital teaching tools
