1. Job Purpose

To ensure the smooth and uninterrupted operation of plant machinery, electrical systems and equipment by carrying out preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and electrical installations while maintaining workplace safety and minimizing machine downtime.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Electrical Maintenance

- Perform routine inspection, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment, machinery, motors, pumps, panels and control systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and restore equipment operation safely.
- Maintain and repair electrical wiring, switches, circuit breakers, contactors, relays and distribution boards.
- Assist in the installation, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment.
- Inspect lighting systems, power supply systems, earthing and electrical connections.

B. Preventive and Breakdown Maintenance

- Carry out preventive maintenance as per the approved maintenance schedule.
- Attend electrical breakdowns promptly to minimize production downtime.
- Identify recurring electrical faults and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain maintenance checklists and breakdown records.
- Coordinate with mechanical maintenance personnel and production teams during repairs.

C. Safety and Compliance

- Follow electrical safety procedures, permit-to-work requirements and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures wherever applicable.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)



and insulated tools.
- Ensure proper earthing, cable insulation and safe electrical connections.
- Never work on live electrical equipment unless specifically authorized under an approved safe-work procedure.
- Report unsafe conditions, electrical hazards and near-miss incidents immediately.

D. Documentation and Spare Parts

- Maintain records of preventive maintenance, breakdowns and repairs.
- Report electrical spare-parts requirements to the supervisor.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of electrical components and maintenance tools.
- Update maintenance logs and report equipment abnormalities.

E. Coordination and Continuous Improvement

- Coordinate with production, maintenance and utility teams to ensure equipment availability.
- Support energy-saving initiatives and improvements in electrical system reliability.
- Participate in maintenance meetings, safety training and technical improvement activities.
- Perform other electrical maintenance duties assigned by the reporting manager within the scope of the role.

3. Educational Qualification

- ITI in Electrician trade or an equivalent recognized electrical qualification.
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering may be preferred,



depending on the role requirements.

4. Experience

- Preferred: 1–3 years of experience in electrical maintenance in a manufacturing plant.
- Fresh ITI candidates with sound practical knowledge may also be considered for trainee or junior technician positions.

5. Technical Skills Required

- Knowledge of industrial electrical wiring and electrical drawings.
- Basic understanding of AC/DC motors, motor starters, contactors, relays and circuit breakers.
- Ability to use a multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester and other electrical testing instruments.
- Basic knowledge of three-phase power supply, distribution panels and earthing systems.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance and electrical fault diagnosis.
- Basic knowledge of VFDs, PLCs and industrial control panels is an advantage.

- Shift duty and occasional emergency breakdown support may be required.
- Work around industrial machinery and electrical equipment, subject to applicable safety procedures.

Pay: ₹8,800.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
