Role Overview
The Junior Interior Designer will support design development and project execution while coordinating with clients, vendors and the internal team to ensure projects are completed properly and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate 2D drawings and working drawings.
- Understand client requirements and convert them into practical design solutions.
- Coordinate with clients for design requirements, selections and approvals.
- Conduct site visits and understand site conditions.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for project execution.
- Assist in material selection and finalisation.
- Prepare and maintain design details, drawings and material specifications.
- Coordinate with the site team to ensure execution is as per approved drawings.
- Check measurements and site conditions before execution.
- Coordinate with interns and junior team members and allocate work as required.
- Track assigned design and project-related tasks.
- Ensure drawings, selections and required details are completed on time.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager / Senior Designer for project progress.
- Support the team in resolving site and design-related issues.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD / 2D drawings.
- Basic knowledge of interior materials and construction.
- Good understanding of furniture and interior detailing.
- Good communication and client coordination skills.
- Ability to understand site requirements.
- Good vendor coordination skills.
- Should be organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to travel for site visits.
- Knowledge of 3D software will be an added advantage.
- Experience in valuable firm of 6months at least in any architecture or interior firm
