Mahatta is looking for a young finance professional who wants to build a career beyond traditional accounting. If you understand finance, enjoy working with AI, learn technology quickly and are interested in automating repetitive work, we would like to meet you.

This is not a traditional accounting-only role. You will handle core finance and accounting work while learning to use AI, automation, Excel, Power BI and finance systems to reduce repetitive work, improve controls and support better decisions. The role has significant exposure to Mahatta Art (Sales Unit and Production/Manufacturing Unit), with opportunities to understand other Mahatta businesses.

Key Responsibilities

- Accounting & month-end closing: day-to-day accounting, closing schedules, follow-up on pending entries and supporting documents.
- Accounts payable: verify and book vendor invoices, PO matching, vendor reconciliations, payment schedules, DPO monitoring.
- Accounts receivable: customer outstanding and ageing, collection follow-ups, DSO monitoring, receivable reports.
- Revenue, cost & profitability: revenue-cost matching, Target vs Actual, gross profit variance and profitability analysis.
- Manufacturing & inventory finance: inventory reconciliation, physical verification, stock variances, production costing, inventory ageing.
- Reconciliations: bank, customer, vendor, ledger,



revenue-cost and GST reconciliations — and understanding why mismatches happen.
- MIS & analysis: financial MIS, Budget vs Actual, cash-flow data, reports in Excel and gradually Power BI.
- Compliance: basic GST/TDS verification and documentation support.

AI & Finance Automation

- Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, etc.) in day-to-day finance work.
- Identify repetitive tasks suitable for automation and suggest process improvements.
- Participate in finance automation projects and test AI agents and automated workflows.
- Help develop and adopt the Mahatta Finance AI Platform (MFAP).

You do not need to be a programmer — but a genuine interest in learning and applying AI to finance is mandatory. Please be ready to share a practical example of how you have used AI.

What We Are Looking For

- 0–2 years of experience (freshers with robust fundamentals welcome)
- Solid accounting fundamentals and good working knowledge of Excel
- Fast learner, proactive, curious and a problem-solver who asks "why is this happening?"
- Strong interest in AI and automation
- GST/TDS fundamentals, analytical ability and good communication
- Preferred: Power BI / Power Query, Zoho Books, manufacturing/inventory exposure
- Added advantage: API/workflow automation awareness

Accounting → Process Ownership → Business Finance → Data Analytics → AI & Automation → Finance Leadership. Growth depends on skills, performance, ownership and problem-solving.

Personal projects, certifications and self-learning in AI, Excel or Power BI are welcome — mention them in your application.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
