Job Description: Structural Engineer – Infrastructure Projects

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to support the design, analysis, detailing, and execution of structural systems for infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have robust technical expertise in reinforced cement concrete (RCC) and steel structures, structural analysis software, design codes, and coordination with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform structural analysis and design for infrastructure projects, including bridges, flyovers, highways, metro rail, industrial structures, buildings, foundations, and other civil infrastructure, as applicable.
- Prepare and review structural calculations, design reports, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Design RCC and structural steel elements in accordance with applicable Indian Standards and international design codes.
- Use structural analysis and design software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, MIDAS Civil, or equivalent tools, depending on project requirements.
- Develop structural models and assess loads, load combinations, stability, deflection, and strength requirements.
- Prepare and review reinforcement detailing, structural GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and construction drawings.
- Coordinate with civil, geotechnical, architectural, MEP, planning, and site execution teams.
- Review contractor and consultant submissions, shop drawings, method statements, and technical documents.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Conduct site visits, resolve design-related issues, and provide technical support during construction.
- Identify design discrepancies, assess design changes, and recommend practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.




- Support quantity estimation, BOQ preparation, tender documentation, and technical bid evaluations as required.
- Monitor engineering deliverables and ensure timely completion of assigned project milestones.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in structural design or engineering for infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of RCC, steel structures, foundations, structural mechanics, and load calculations.
- Proficiency in relevant structural analysis and design software.
- Working knowledge of IS codes, IRC standards, IRS/RDSO requirements, or other applicable project-specific codes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, design calculations, and technical specifications.
- Good communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Technical Skills

- STAAD.Pro / ETABS / SAP2000 / MIDAS Civil
- AutoCAD and structural detailing
- MS Excel and structural calculation tools
- Knowledge of IS 456, IS 800, IS 875, IS 1893, and relevant IRC codes, as applicable to the project
- Familiarity with BIM tools such as Revit or Tekla Structures is an advantage.
- Experience with design review, quality assurance, and construction-stage engineering support.

Experience Profile

Candidates with experience in infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, flyovers, metro rail, railways, industrial infrastructure, water-retaining structures, or large-scale civil engineering projects will be preferred, depending on the project's scope.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
