MedicalCertificate.in is a leading telehealth platform that enables patients to receive medically valid certificates—such as sick leave, fitness-to-work, driving licence fitness (Form 1A), eye/vision fitness and custom health documents—entirely online. We are seeking licensed, tech-savvy Ophthalmologists based in Kerala to join our remote medical team. You will assess patients via our secure platform, review vision screening results, vitals and history, and issue eye-related medical and fitness certificates as appropriate. The ideal candidate is comfortable using digital tools and open to working with AI-supported workflows that help streamline documentation and reduce administrative overhead.

Responsibilities

- Conduct asynchronous or video-based consultations with patients via our secure digital platform
- Review submitted vision/eye screening data (visual acuity, colour vision, field tests), medical history, symptoms, and AI-generated summaries
- Approve, decline, or request clarification for certificate issuance (eye fitness, Form 1A vision fitness, sick leave, etc.)
- Ensure all decisions align with NMC / Kerala State Medical Council regulations and ethical standards




- Provide empathetic and skilled communication with patients
- Collaborate with the internal team to improve platform workflows and clinical tools

Key Requirements

- MBBS with MS/MD/DNB/DO in Ophthalmology
- Valid and active registration with NMC or the Travancore-Cochin Council of Modern Medicine (Kerala State Medical Council)
- Based in Kerala
- Strong understanding of Indian healthcare laws and standards for medical documentation
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms, EMRs, and digital workflows
- Comfortable using or learning AI-powered tools for note review, triage, or suggestions
- Excellent written communication in English (Malayalam a plus)
- High standards of medical ethics, integrity, and confidentiality

Remuneration

- ₹200 per case (per completed consultation/certificate)
