Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Project Manager (DPM) – Civil to manage and supervise construction activities, ensure timely project execution, maintain quality and safety standards, control costs, and coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal departments.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Project Planning & Execution
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, executing, and monitoring construction activities.
- Ensure project milestones and deadlines are achieved as per the approved schedule.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress against project targets.
- Coordinate civil, structural, finishing, and external development works.
- Site Management
- Supervise site engineers, construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Ensure proper deployment of manpower, materials, machinery, and equipment.
- Resolve site-level technical and execution issues.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress review meetings.
- Quality Control
- Ensure construction work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Quality & Lab team for inspections and testing.
- Ensure timely closure of non-conformities and maintain quality documentation.
- Cost & Resource Management
- Monitor project expenditure, material consumption, and manpower productivity.
- Control wastage and ensure optimum utilization of resources.
- Coordinate with the Planning, Billing, Purchase, and Store departments.
- Review quantities, subcontractor measurements, and work progress.
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with site safety procedures and applicable statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with the Safety Department to implement preventive measures.




- Ensure safe working conditions and timely closure of safety observations.
- Client & Contractor Coordination
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Attend project review meetings and provide progress updates.
- Ensure timely resolution of technical queries and approval-related issues.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Review daily progress reports, site records, and material requirements.
- Maintain records of drawings, work orders, inspections, and site instructions.
- Prepare periodic progress reports and escalate critical issues to the Project Manager.
- Team Management
- Lead and guide site engineers, supervisors, and other project personnel.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor individual and team performance.
- Promote coordination, productivity, discipline, and accountability at the project site.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of civil construction and structural execution.
- Project planning, monitoring, and resource management.
- Understanding of construction drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
- Knowledge of quantity estimation, billing, and cost control.
- Contractor and subcontractor management.
- Leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and project planning software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.

- Achievement of project milestones and completion targets.
- Quality of construction and reduction in rework.
- Project cost control and resource utilization.
- Site safety performance and compliance.
- Labour and subcontractor productivity.
- Timely submission of reports and closure of site issues.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with relevant experience in building construction, commercial or residential projects, structural works, and large-scale civil construction projects will be preferred. The candidate should be capable of independently managing site execution and supporting overall project delivery.
