Position Title: AVP – GL (General Ledger & Subsidiary Accounting)

Chennai, India Experience Level: 12+ Years Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA Qualified Mandatory) Reporting To: CFO Role Overview We are looking for an accomplished Chartered Accountant to take on the role of AVP – GL, leading multi-entity General Ledger consolidation, subsidiary accounting, and financial reporting across global jurisdictions. Also, you will manage month-end and quarter-end closures under IndAS and US GAAP. This role will be expected to evaluate, champion, and integrate AI technologies to build a scalable, future-ready controllership function.

Key Responsibilities
• Global GL Consolidation: Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual multi-entity GL consolidation across domestic and foreign subsidiaries in compliance with IndAS, US GAAP, and IFRS.
• Subsidiary Accounting & Top-Side Adjustments: Oversee operational accounting for all legal entities, managing intercompany reconciliations, transfer pricing alignment, and top-side journal entries.
• Financial Reporting & Governance: Lead the preparation of financial statements, technical disclosure notes, board meeting packages, and the annual statutory report.
• AI Strategy in Controllership:



Stay ahead of emerging enterprise AI trends; explore Generative AI use cases for automated commentary on financial variances, draft accounting policy memos, and streamline audit documentation workflows.
• Audit Leadership & Regulatory Controls: Spearhead interactions with Statutory, Country-Specific, and Internal Auditors; design robust internal financial controls (IFCoR) backed by automated audit trail systems. Qualifications & Requirements

Education:
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
•

Experience:
12+ years of post-qualification experience in legal entity controllership, global consolidations, and financial reporting.
• AI Awareness & Capability: Active understanding of how Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative AI apply to accounting workflows (e.g., automated transaction mapping, AI variance analysis, intelligent reconciliation modules in up-to-date ERPs).
• Technical Accounting Mastery: Deep expertise in IndAS, US GAAP, IFRS, transfer pricing, and complex consolidation mechanics across multi-currency environments.
• Systems & Enterprise Software: Proficiency in enterprise ERP environments
