PAN India-Hybrid Reports to: VP, Network and Security Role overview We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Senior Network Security Engineer to act as the technical authority for the organisation's network security estate. This role requires expert-level Fortinet FortiGate knowledge and will be responsible for the design, implementation, support, troubleshooting and continual improvement of enterprise network security services across Azure environments. The successful candidate will serve as the primary technical point of contact for firewall design changes, security architecture reviews, major incidents, vulnerability management and security initiatives. The role combines deep technical expertise with operational security and service improvement activities.

Key responsibilities
• Act as the SME for all network security services.
• Own the design, implementation and support of Fortinet security platforms.
• Review and approve firewall, segmentation and security design changes.
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex security and network incidents.
• Participate in monthly security governance, reporting and compliance activities.
• Own vulnerability management activities, including remediation planning, tracking and reporting.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of network security projects and initiatives.
• Support security architecture reviews, risk assessments and technical design approvals.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors and managed service providers.
• Produce and review High-Level Designs (HLDs),



Low-Level Designs (LLDs), standards and technical documentation.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise security policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide operational oversight across on-premises and cloud security services.
• Drive continuous improvement of security controls, processes and operational practices. Security Monitoring and Reporting Tools Experience and skills
• Minimum 10 years’ hands-on network security experience, with at least the last 3 years as a senior engineer or SME in a security role.
• Expert-level hands-on FortiGate experience within a large enterprise environment.
• Proven experience designing, implementing and supporting enterprise FortiGate firewall solutions.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience operating firewalls in Azure Firewall.
• Strong troubleshooting capability across FortiGate firewalls, routing, VPNs, segmentation and cloud connectivity.
• Experience acting as the SME for network security services.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking and cloud security principles.
• Experience managing security incidents, governance activities and vulnerability remediation programmes.
• Experience working with third-party service providers and managed services.
• Proven background operating within complex enterprise environments.
• Preferably experienced within Financial Services, Insurance or other regulated industries.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. What success looks like

• Able to independently review and approve complex security changes.
• Provides clear technical ownership during major security incidents.
• Drives security improvements and remediation activities to completion.
