Role Description The Senior Field Sales Representative role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kanpur. The role involves identifying and onboarding new merchants, promoting Paytm’s payment and financial solutions, and building strong relationships with local businesses. Daily responsibilities include visiting merchant locations, explaining product features, negotiating agreements, and ensuring successful activation and usage of Paytm services. The Senior Field Sales Representative also tracks sales performance, provides feedback from the field,



and collaborates with internal teams to resolve merchant issues and improve service delivery. This role requires consistent fieldwork, market mapping, and proactive outreach to drive growth in the assigned territory. Qualifications
• Proven field sales experience in payments, financial services, FMCG, telecom, or related industries.
• Robust relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to influence merchant decisions.
• Ability to understand digital payment products and explain them in clear, simple terms to diverse stakeholders.
• Comfort with on-the-ground work, including regular travel within Kanpur, and familiarity with local markets.
• Results-oriented mindset with experience meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing a sales funnel.
• Basic proficiency with smartphones, sales apps, and reporting tools; ability to maintain accurate records.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
• Fluency in local language and English, with a customer-centric approach and high ethical standards.
