About the Role
The Senior Integration Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the company's integration architecture, primarily utilizing MuleSoft, Confluent Kafka, Kong API Gateway, Kong AI Gateway, Kong Metering and Billing, n8n, MS Power Platform, Azure Logic Apps. This role acts as a subject matter expert on API-led and event-driven integration patterns, ensuring that all solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure. The engineer works closely with various cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver robust integration solutions that form the backbone of the company's digital ecosystem.
• Design, develop, and maintain complex integration solutions and APIs.
• Implement and manage real-time data streams and event-driven architectures.
• Configure and manage APIs, policies, and security on the technical platforms.
• Collaborate with development teams, business analysts, and enterprise architects to define requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance and reliability of the integration platforms.
• Participate in architectural design reviews, providing expert guidance on integration best practices.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all integration solutions. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Impact on Business

• Collaborate closely with software development teams, business analysts, and DevOps teams and customers.
• Work with Enterprise Architects to ensure solution designs align with company standards.
• Engage with external vendors and SaaS providers for technical discussions and support. Decision-making power
• Influences technical decisions through deep expertise in MuleSoft, Confluent Kafka, Kong API Gateway, Kong AI Gateway, Kong Metering and Billing, n8n, MS Power Platform, Azure Logic Apps. Provides key recommendations on integration architecture and design patterns. Leads the technical implementation of integration projects. Qualified Knowledge and Experiences
• Brings several years of hands-on experience in software development, systems engineering, or IT operations in general.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in software development or integration engineering.
• In-depth hand-on experience with APIs (designing, developing, deploying and managing APIs)
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Confident knowledge and experience with Apache Kafka (ideally Confluent Platform), including producer/consumer logic, topic management, and streaming concepts
• Confident knowledge and experience with one of the following, Confluent Kafka, Kong API Gateway, Kong AI Gateway, Kong Metering and Billing, n8n, MS Power Platform, Azure Logic Apps. Other Skills & Competencies
