Our Egocentric Robotics Data Collection programme captures first-person (POV) video data from workers performing everyday tasks in commercial and industrial environments. This data enables AI to understand human actions, workflows, and decision-making processes. We are scaling this operation to cover over 140 different environment and task categories, deploying up to 500 lightweight head-mounted cameras within the city. The RoleWe are seeking a highly driven Operations Manager to lead our on-the-ground field operations in Jaipur. You will be the primary driver of site acquisition, worker onboarding, and daily hardware/data logistics in your region. Your success will be measured by "approved recording hours"—meaning you will not just manage logistics, but also ensure strict adherence to quality and compliance standards. This is a dynamic, field-heavy role perfect for an operational leader who thrives on building local partnerships, managing distributed physical assets, and scaling complex processes from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Site Acquisition & Partnerships
• Identify and secure partnerships with commercial and industrial sites across Jaipur suitable for first-person POV recording.
• Pitch the programme to site owners, emphasizing the zero-cost, non-disruptive nature of the collection and securing necessary site approvals prior to deployment.
• Scale operations from an initial 100-hour pilot phase to a broader 1,000–2,500 hour programme per site. Field Operations & Team Management
• Onboard site workers, ensuring clear communication of the project goals, proper device usage,
and strict adherence to worker consent and privacy protocols.
• Coordinate daily field activities, managing the deployment and retrieval of recording equipment across multiple live sites.
• Troubleshoot on-ground operational bottlenecks to ensure a smooth, minimally intrusive experience for participating workers. Hardware & Data Logistics
• Manage the inventory and deployment of head-mounted cameras, SD cards, power banks, and USB cables.
• Perform daily device calibration, data extraction, and secure uploads to our cloud platform according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Enforce strict quality control, ensuring that all uploaded data meets the client’s validation requirements for approved recording hours. Qualifications & Skills
•
Experience:
3+ years in field operations, logistics management, B2B local sales, or on-ground project management. Experience in data collection, hardware deployment, or telecom/gig-economy operations is a strong plus.
• Local Expertise: Deep understanding of the Jaipur commercial and industrial landscape with the ability to navigate local business networks to secure site approvals.
• Process-Oriented: Highly organized with a proven track record of strictly following SOPs and managing complex daily logistics (hardware tracking, data uploading).
• Communication: Excellent persuasive communication and negotiation skills in English and Hindi to effectively pitch site owners and comfortably train blue-collar/grey-collar workers.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable troubleshooting basic hardware (cameras, SD cards) and managing daily cloud data uploads securely.
