• Overall Roles & Responsibilities As Chief Officer-Taxation, the person will be responsible for managing Indirect Tax (GST) and Direct Tax (Income Tax) compliances for V-Guard Industries Limited and its subsidiaries. The incumbent will ensure timely and accurate tax compliance, support audits and assessments, Tax MIS, keep a tab on tax developments, provide tax advisory support to business teams, and coordinate with external stakeholders and tax authorities. GST compliance, litigation and advisory (primary)
• Play an key role in Indirect Tax governance
• Preparation and filing of periodic GST returns for the company
• Prepare & review GST & ITC reconciliations between books of accounts and GST portal data
• Prepare/Review submission of responses to GST department intimations, notices, investigations and audits
• Liaise with branches, plants, business teams and consultants during GST audits, assessments and litigation
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on GST implications in business transactions and operational matters




• Support implementation of GST process improvements and ERP changes arising from amendments in GST laws Income-tax compliance, litigation and advisory (secondary)
• Play an important role in Direct Tax governance
• Support in compliance with TDS provisions
• Support in filing of income-tax returns for the company and group entities
• Assist in preparation and timely filing of Statement of Financial Transactions (SFT)
• Reconcile TDS, advance tax, self-assessment tax and tax credits with books and income-tax portal records
• Assist in preparation of submissions and responses to queries from Income-Tax department
• Monitor changes in direct tax laws and evaluate their impact on business operations
• Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills Requires
• CA with 2 to 5 years of experience
• Experience in Direct / Indirect tax related roles
• Experience in working on SAP preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong stakeholder management and risk evaluation experience
