About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer to join our growing technology team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software quality assurance, test automation, and performance testing, with a strong understanding of e-commerce platforms & mobile app testing. Experience with Shopify and modern automation frameworks such as Playwright is highly preferred. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, scalability, and performance of our web-based e-commerce applications through comprehensive testing strategies and automation initiatives. Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing for web applications.
• Build and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using Playwright.
• Validate GUI/UX functionality across multiple browsers, devices, and operating systems.




• Conduct API testing and verify integrations with third-party services and payment gateways.
• Perform performance, load, and stress testing to ensure application scalability and stability.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects through their lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide inputs to improve testability and quality.
• Drive quality best practices and mentor junior QA engineers.
• Ensure continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and testing methodologies. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience
• 8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.
• Proven experience in testing web-based applications and enterprise systems.
• Strong experience in both manual and automation testing.
• Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, actively participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Education
• Bachelor's degree in Technology (B.
Tech) or equivalent is required; a Master's degree is preferred. Technical Skills
• Hands-on experience with Playwright / Selenium & Appium for UI automation.
• Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and best practices.
• Experience in GUI testing and cross-browser validation.
• Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or equivalent.
• Ability to analyze application performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with defect management and test management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, etc.).




• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
• Strong SQL/database testing skills.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience using AI tools to eliminate manual effort in testing, such as test case generation, test data creation, automation scripting and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of Generative AI (Gen AI) and AI agents, and

how to apply
them to QA workflows.
• Experience in mobile app testing (iOS and Android), including native, hybrid, and mobile web applications on real devices and emulators. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with Shopify stores, themes, apps, and integrations.
• Prior experience in the e-commerce domain (B2B/B2C platforms).
• Experience testing payment gateways, order management systems, inventory management, and customer-facing storefronts.
• Knowledge of Shopify APIs and ecosystem.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or test automation certifications are preferred.
