Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part-time remote role responsible for organizing and supporting MO Museum’s volunteer community. This position involves recruiting and onboarding volunteers, coordinating schedules, and ensuring volunteers are prepared for activities such as exhibitions, events, and educational programs. The coordinator will provide training materials, guidance, and regular communication to volunteers, while fostering an inclusive, motivating environment that aligns with MO Museum’s mission. Day-to-day tasks include managing volunteer data, responding to inquiries, collaborating with museum staff to identify volunteer needs, and monitoring volunteer engagement and feedback to improve the program. The role requires proactive communication and the ability to work independently while supporting a diverse group of volunteers. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess skills in Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training to effectively recruit, onboard, and support volunteers.




• Candidates should possess strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills to build relationships, provide clear guidance, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Candidates should possess Community Outreach skills to engage potential volunteers, promote museum initiatives, and strengthen connections with audiences.
• Experience coordinating volunteers or working in cultural, educational, or non-profit settings is beneficial.
• Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage schedules and data in digital tools are important.
• Comfort working remotely, with reliable internet access and proficiency in email, video conferencing, and basic office software, is required.
• Interest in modern and contemporary art, public engagement, or museum education is an advantage.
