About the role
We are looking for an AL2 SFCC Developer to join our Digital Commerce engineering team. The individual will be responsible for developing, enhancing and supporting scalable e-commerce solutions using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C Commerce). The role involves hands-on development of commerce features, SFCC integrations and APIs, along with testing, debugging and collaboration with frontend, QA, UX/UI and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and enhance e-commerce functionality on Salesforce Commerce Cloud / B2C Commerce.
• Work with SFRA architecture, controllers, middleware, cartridges and ISML components.
• Develop and consume REST APIs, OCAPI and SCAPI for commerce integrations.
• Support headless / API-first SFCC implementations and integration between SFCC backend and storefront applications.
• Implement or enhance key commerce capabilities such as:
• Product catalogue and pricing
• Cart and checkout
• Payment processing
• Order processing and fulfilment
• Inventory
• Promotions
• Customer journeys
• Integrate SFCC with external platforms and services such as payment gateways, OMS and other third-party systems.
• Configure and work with relevant capabilities within SFCC Business Manager.
• Develop reusable and maintainable SFCC components following established coding practices.
• Perform unit testing, debugging and troubleshooting of developed functionality.
• Participate in SIT/UAT defect resolution and support deployment/release activities.
• Identify and address performance issues and contribute to platform optimisation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, development and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, UX/UI, product/business teams and other engineering stakeholders.
• Maintain appropriate technical documentation for developed functionality. These responsibilities are directly aligned with the types of work demonstrated in the two reference profiles. Valuable to Have
• Experience with API-first architecture.
• Exposure to PWA Kit and SCAPI.
• Experience integrating SFCC with OMS, payment gateways or other commerce platforms.
• Performance optimisation or load/performance testing exposure.
• Experience working on multi-country, multi-locale or multi-currency commerce solutions.
• Salesforce Certified B2C Commerce Developer.
