3-5 Years Department: Quality Assurance Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and passionate Automation Test Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in test automation, API testing, and quality engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, improving test coverage, ensuring high-quality software releases, and driving automation initiatives across UI, API, and performance testing domains. The candidate should possess robust expertise in Playwright, TypeScript, Cucumber BDD, API Automation, Jenkins, GitLab, and JMeter, along with a quality-first mindset and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Requirements
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable UI automation frameworks and test scripts using Playwright, TypeScript, and Cucumber BDD to ensure reliable and maintainable test coverage.
• Design and implement CI/CD automation pipelines in Jenkins, integrating UI and API automation suites to enable continuous testing and faster feedback during releases.
• Develop, maintain, and execute API automation test suites to validate functionality, integrations, data integrity, and overall system reliability.
• Utilize GitLab for source control management, code reviews, and adherence to established branching and release management strategies.
• Leverage GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted tools/agents to improve automation development efficiency, script quality, and test coverage.
• Perform sanity, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing to validate application quality across releases and environments.
• Create, review, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, test data, and test documentation,



ensuring complete coverage of business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Create and maintain test datasets required for testing activities and implement dynamic test data generation approaches within automation frameworks to reduce maintenance effort and improve script reliability.
• Monitor daily automation executions, analyse test reports, investigate failures, identify defects or script issues, and track them through resolution and closure.
• Participate in automation script reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, framework guidelines, and test automation best practices.
• Identify flaky automation scripts, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvements to enhance automation reliability and stability.
• Analyse defects and production issues and add corresponding scenarios to the regression suite to minimize defect leakage and improve overall product quality.
• Track automation coverage, execution trends, and quality metrics, and provide recommendations to improve automation effectiveness and test efficiency.
• Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts using JMeter, analyse performance reports, identify bottlenecks, and provide recommendations for system optimization.
• Write and execute SQL queries to validate backend data, verify data integrity across systems, and support functional, API, and end-to-end testing activities. Required Technical Skills
