Research Data Analyst (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract)Department: ResearchEmployment Type: Fixed Term - Full TimeLocation: Gurugram, IndiaDescriptionAbout the role:This is a 6-month Fixed-Term Contractual role.Aurora Energy Research is a global energy analytics firm. Our India research team supports clients across the power and renewables sector with data and analysis. This role supports that work by keeping our transmission infrastructure records up to date, and by collecting and organising power network data for ongoing research projects.This is a research and data role. You'll be doing both secondary research and primary market validation to track infrastructure developments, checking information against reliable sources, and keeping shared records current. You'll also be collecting and organizing technical network data for specific states as directed. Accuracy matters along with speed — everything you log should be checked and easy to trace back to its source.Key Responsibilities1. Infrastructure trackingKeep our transmission infrastructure records up to date as our research coverage expands to new states.Research infrastructure projects online — status, timelines, route, capacity, developer — and log them accurately.Collect market intelligence and on-the-ground information to help validate network developments and infrastructure plans.Support the research team with data pulls and quick checks when needed.2. Network data collectionCollect and organise power network data (substations, lines, voltage levels, capacity, interconnections)
