Senior Accounting Specialist

- 4 PM IST ERP: Xero Qualification: CA (Chartered Accountant) 8+ years of experience Role Overview We are looking for a CA-qualified Finance professional with strong experience in accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, payroll, and month-end activities. The role will manage day-to-day finance operations, support management reporting and business analytics, and ensure timely and accurate statutory compliance across Australia and the US.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage month-end close activities, including capitalization and financial reconciliations.
• Oversee Accounts Payable, including invoice review/approval and supplier payment reviews.
• Manage and review payroll processing, currently outsourced to a third-party provider.
• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts and working capital requirements.
• Review and oversee monthly Business Activity Statements (BAS).
• Review International Sales Tax lodgements on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Review Payroll Tax and WorkCover submissions on a fortnightly basis.
• Support preparation of monthly management reports and financial analysis.




• Support business analytics and reporting using Looker.
• Coordinate tax compliance, including US and Australian tax returns and FBT.
• Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of financial records in Xero.
• Provide day-to-day finance support, financial insights, and analysis to management.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls, and reporting efficiency. Requirements Required Skills & Experience
• CA qualification is mandatory.
• Strong experience in accounting and finance operations, preferably within an Australian business environment.
• Good knowledge of Australian taxation, BAS, payroll tax, WorkCover, FBT, and sales tax requirements.
• Experience managing month-end close, AP, payroll, cash flow, and management reporting.
• Hands-on experience with Xero.
• Experience with Looker or similar business intelligence/reporting tools is preferred.
• Exposure to US tax compliance is highly desirable.
• Robust analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple finance activities and deadlines.
